: The couple met in Washington, D.C. in 1971. Patricia, a graduate of a Catholic girls' school in Hong Kong, initially obtained her RN in Hong Kong before receiving her U.S. nursing certification in Maryland.
Koo has owned and operated service stations since the early 1970s, a venture Patricia helped manage from its inception .
