Simply dragging the file into a folder often isn't enough. To ensure the registry and software sync correctly, use the built-in importer: (even if it's in evaluation mode). Navigate to the Help menu. Select Install license file .
You cannot take a license .dat file from one PC and use it on another unless you have specifically requested a license transfer from the developer.
