This paper introduces GCAM Go 3.6 , a portable, Python-based micro-simulation engine that distills GCAM’s core sectoral dynamics (energy, water, land, and economy) into a lightweight, interactive interface. GCAM Go 3.6 enables real-time scenario analysis on a standard laptop or tablet, supporting rapid policy prototyping at city, state, or utility scales. We validate the tool against the full GCAM 6.0 reference scenario, achieving <3% deviation in global CO₂ trajectories by 2050 while reducing runtime from hours to under 3 seconds. We demonstrate its utility via two case studies: (1) optimal EV charging infrastructure for Austin, Texas, and (2) water-energy trade-offs in Gujarat’s solar farms.
