The new AI syllabus has a lot of wordy, real-world fluff. The 3rd Edition HL is pure, unapologetic mathematics. If you can solve a Vector question from 2016 HL Paper 3, you can solve any vector problem thrown at you in university year one. Clearing out my IB study materials

While this specific edition is older (tailored to the "Previous Syllabus" used before 2021), it remains one of the most valuable resources for rigorous practice. Many current teachers and tutors still use it because the core Mathematics HL concepts (Calculus, Algebra, Vectors) have not fundamentally changed, even if the exam structure has.
You might think newer is better. But for pure rigor, the 3rd Edition HL is unmatched.
