David Fincher’s Mindhunter isn’t your typical serial killer thriller. Set in the late 1970s, it follows two FBI agents (Holden Ford and Bill Tench) and a psychologist (Wendy Carr) as they interview imprisoned murderers to create criminal profiling. There are no car chases or gory set pieces. Instead, the horror comes from clinical conversations in bare interrogation rooms — and it’s utterly gripping.

The chemistry between the two actors is excellent, and their characters' banter and interactions add a layer of humor and humanity to the show. Dr. Wendy Carr, played by Anna Torv, is also an excellent addition to the cast.
