As Sam and Victor get closer to the truth, they are ambushed by The Syndicate's operatives. In the ensuing firefight, Victor is captured, and Sam is left for dead. With his skills and experience, Sam manages to survive and vows to rescue Victor and bring down The Syndicate.

The game follows the story of Sam Fisher, a former CIA operative who has retired to a quiet life in Michigan with his daughter, Sophie. However, his life takes a dramatic turn when Sophie is kidnapped and murdered by a group of heavily armed mercenaries. Fisher sets out on a revenge mission to track down and punish those responsible for her death.
